Real-time data on smart phone helps grower to irrigate accurately

At the HortiFair 2012 Hoogendoorn Growth Management introduced the new irrigation system iSii Aqua Compact. This smart computer regulates irrigation in greenhouses and outdoor cultivation to the plant’s requirements. The added benefit is that this system is expandable to include basic climate controls. Enthusiastic users worldwide confirm that Hoogendoorn has kept her promise: iSii aqua compact increases production, saves time and gives certainty.

Optimal irrigation strategy

The iSii Aqua Compact regulates irrigation, and climate such as ventilation, screening and heating at different nurseries worldwide, such as fruit production, tree farms and garden centers. Frank Vila, owner of multiple tomato and lettuce nurseries Vila SA in France confirms that iSii aqua compact helped him toward an efficient irrigation strategy. “Based on the plant's needs, I select the proper starting moment and the amount of irrigation. I adjust this according to time or the amount of sunshine. This system ensures me that my crop is given an optimal dosage of fertilizers.”

Ease of operation

The software is easy to use and above all, available in almost any language. This allows growers to use all the iSii aqua compact functionalities optimally in order to achieve higher production and quality. André Tijssen, owner of a blueberry and raspberry nursery in the Netherlands, is enthusiastic about its user friendliness: “Everyone is capable to operate irrigation and climate controls with this computer. Setting up is very easy and you can start right away. I am a very satisfied user”.

Real-time data

The iSii Aqua Compact can be operated from any computer or smart phone. Growers can request information about the current crop conditions at any desired moment. Frank Vila: “Via my smart phone I can see how much water is being given and from which vales. This allows me to make adjustments throughout the day.” Real-time data provides growers insight into the effect of their irrigation strategy and enables them to react adequately. As a result this helps them to increase cultivation yield.
