Shading paint for greenhouse industry is well known worldwide. But in hot summers, commercial buildings and dairy farms can get hot as well. Especially for this purpose, Mardenkro developed a new formula of their famous ReduSol shading coating. The new coating, named Cool-FX (pronounce as: Cool Effects), is made to cover roofs of commercial buildings and all kind of farms. The coating can be supplied on galvanized or metal barn roofs, tar and gravel roofs of commercial buildings (e.g. offices, factory’s) and skylights and will decrease the surface temperature with almost 20 degrees Celsius and the temperature inside up to 5 degrees Celsius. The big difference of Cool–FX compared to ReduSol is that the roof coating will give a very nice white cover on non-glass surfaces where as ReduSol will become more gray when it is applied on tar or metal.
Not only temperature will decrease, the Cool-FX roof coating will also give a better environment for poultry, pigs and dairy farms. Tests in British Columbia, Canada, showed that dairy production was much better in the barns that were applied with Cool-FX. And not to forget that it can save up to 15% air conditioning energy use of a single story building.
Cool-FX roof coating comes in buckets of 20KG that can cover approximately 300m2. The application can be down with every high pressure spray pump. If the surface to apply is very small, people can also use a small pressure sprayer. The roof coating will wear off gradually due to weather effects and return the roof to its originally color in winter time.
