AgriBologna, located at the centre of one of the most organised fruit and vegetable production areas in Italy, produces and sells through the various companies that are part of the group: Consorzio Agribologna sca, Conor srl, Fresco Senso and Ab Fresh srl.

In the Bologna province and in the Romagna area, the company produces Bolognese light green courgettes and classical Americano dark green ones both in a protected environment (light and heavy-duty and multi-span greenhouses) and in open-fields.

"The delay was caused by water leaks in greenhouses due to heavy rains and by the lack of sunlight during March, which slowed down the development of plants and led to chlorosis."

"Producers who have mutli-span greenhouses have already carried out initial harvesting and quality seems good, but we will have more info in ten days' time when the production will be aligned," concludes Marco Candini.

At the end of April, the producers-members of the AgriBologna consortium should also start open-field transplants, which will then be available approximately a month and a half later.

In 2013, 55 hectares of Bolognese light green courgettes and 60 hectares of Americano dark green courgettes will be transplanted.
