Rijk Zwaan helps India to “love salads’’

On 12, 13 and 14 December, Rijk Zwaan India organised a demo event together with KF Bioplants, its partner in seed and seedling distribution in Central and West India. The field days were well attended by visitors of the whole vegetable chain, amongst which growers, high end retail chains and foodservice. More than 1000 people took the opportunity to look at different types of tomatoes, sweet pepper, cucumber and melon.

Love my Salad

During the second day of the event, the visitors were invited to join an Indian chef in creating salads during a Love my Salad workshop. Eating fresh salads is not yet a very familiar concept in India, although the Indian market is well known for its vegetarian and spicy kitchen. Love my Salad tries to educate Indian consumers to learn more about salads and to share their recipes on the social salad network, initiated by Rijk Zwaan.
