Netherlands: Koppert wins DHL Export Trophy

This year’s DHL Export Trophy was awarded to a Dutch company ahead of the curve in logistics and innovation: Koppert Biological Systems. The jury, consisting of EVD (Agentschap NL), Fenedex, ING and DHL Express voted unanimously. Koppert Biological Systems is international market leader in the field of organic crop control and natural pollination. The prize involves a certificate, a trophy and a corporate film portraying the unique character of Koppert Biological Systems.

Over 300 industry representatives attended the National Export Event 2012 in order to exchange views with, among others, Minister Lilianne Ploumen of Foreign Affairs. Another prize was also awarded: the Export Manager Award 2012 went to Peter Begemann of United Biscuits/Verkade.

The DHL Export Trophy was bestowed for the first time. Paul Koppert, member of the board, said: “This award is a recognition for all the people in our company.” Koppert Biological Systems was awarded before: in 2008 current sales director Peter Maes was named Export Manager of the Year.
