Photo Report International Soft Fruit Conference 2017

A lot of things currently happen in the global soft fruit industry. The overall production acreage increases and innovations are introduced at a rapid pace. This was also reflected at the International Soft Fruit Conference in Den Bosch, Holland last week.

About 650 visitors from 41 countries attended the event to exchange knowledge and learn more about the recent challenges in the upcoming soft fruit industry. Over the last couple of years, the Dutch acreage with strawberries under glass has seen a steep increase, but also the developments in North American berry industry provided much room for discussion. This also accounts for blueberries, an crop that is on the rise in Holland too.

Besides a trade show with 100 exhibitors, the ISFC congress covered various topics such as challenges causes by climate change, crop protection product regulations, and the importance of a clean start when dealing with drosophila suzukii.
