Studies show that 100 g of Tribelli® peppers contains 2.5 times more vitamin C than 100 g of oranges. They also have a balanced sugar profile, making them suitable for people with dietary restrictions or high intestinal sensitivity.
Research confirms that sweet peppers can contain up to 2.5 times more vitamin C than oranges, placing them among the more nutrient-dense vegetables available. Through natural genetic improvement techniques, varieties such as Tribelli have been developed to be well-tolerated by people with intestinal sensitivity or digestive discomfort.
Vitamin C and other nutrients
According to Tâmmila Klug,Enza Zaden's post-harvest researcher, the literature shows that consuming about 50 to 75 grams of the variety is enough to meet the daily recommended intake of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) for an adult. "The concentration of ascorbic acid in the fruit helps optimize the absorption of non-heme iron, found in beans and dark leafy greens, making it a strategic component in preventing iron-deficiency anemia," the specialist explains.

Sweet peppers like Tribelli contain vitamin C, beta-carotene, phenolic compounds, flavonoids, and anthocyanins — all of which contribute to antioxidant capacity. Klug notes that these phytochemicals may help reduce oxidative stress and modulate inflammatory processes associated with chronic conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, certain cancers, and neurodegenerative disorders.
Colour and nutritional variation
Tribelli vibrant colours—from yellow to orange and red—come from carotenoids such as lutein, zeaxanthin and beta‑carotene, known for their contribution to maintaining normal vision, a healthy immune system and the protection of body tissues.

Red and orange mini peppers are especially rich in beta‑carotene, making them an excellent addition to a balanced diet. "Consuming peppers of different colors is a smart strategy to obtain a broader and more diverse nutritional profile, taking advantage of the unique benefits associated with each natural pigment," says Klug.
Tribelli Seedless
Tribelli peppers are naturally sweet and can be eaten raw without preparation. Their flavour and texture make them well-suited for consumption as a snack, including by children and those sensitive to irritating foods. They also contain water, fibre, and B-vitamins, which contribute to hydration, digestion, and energy metabolism.
The Tribelli range includes several formats: the original Tribelli Mini, Tribelli XL (suited to cooking), an organic line, and the more recent Tribelli Seedless. The seedless variety offers the same nutritional profile as other sweet peppers, with the practical difference of requiring no preparation and containing no seeds.
