A grower in IJsselmuiden, in the Dutch province of Overijssel, has planted grapevines in a greenhouse as part of a new venture into indoor grape cultivation. Marijn Kalter is launching the enterprise together with his mother, Annet, marking a new chapter for their family business.
"I wanted to do something that didn't exist yet, just like my father did 25 years ago. I started by simply brainstorming a bit with ChatGPT," Kalter told local media outlet De Brug (link in Dutch).
The vines have recently been planted inside the greenhouse, as shown on the growers' Facebook page. The family plans to reopen their farm shop, which had already built a following during the period when the business focused on strawberry cultivation.
