Commercial farmers and greenhouse operators have long struggled with plastic containers that suffocate roots, as zero permeability starves plants of air and water balance, says Jinay Gada, founder of Planteria, which aims to change this with geotextile felt-based planters made from recycled PET or rPET plastic. "Our breathable fabric supports air pruning, stabilizes root zone temperature, and lasts for multiple cycles. Plants thrive, growth gets better and costs significantly drop, with farmers seeing better yields economically."

Jinay describes his manufacturing beginning with needle-punching rPET fabric to create durable, porous walls for excess water percolation and airflow. UV-resistant heavy-duty stitching holds up in rugged climates, between -40 degrees to 40 degrees. "It's a sustainable upgrade over plastic pots and single-use bags. Recycled material cuts waste while delivering the performance needed for roots to receive a perfect environment," he explains.
These geotextile felt growbags have shown to work well for fruits and vegetables, Jinay mentions. "Australian berry growers use them; in Canada and South Africa, cannabis operations too. In the Netherlands, greenhouses grow bell peppers, chillies, tomatoes, and microgreens in these planters. They work for all kinds of crops, but you see the clearest difference with high-value ones."

Planteria supplies nursery owners, commercial farms, hydroponics setups, and greenhouses looking to cut costs and boost growth. They export worldwide including to Australia, Thailand, UAE, France, Netherlands, South Africa, the USA, Canada, Mauritius, Maldives and Kuwait. "Buyers like no MOQ, and we ship even 100 planters anywhere," Jinay explains. "Free samples, white labelling, e-commerce/retail packaging, Mumbai's port access for fast door-to-door delivery, zero-duty imports via India's trade agreements, and competitive pricing are working for us, as global distributors resell at premium margins without hassles."
Looking ahead, Planteria is looking for distributors in international markets while working on introducing new planters to keep the portfolio exciting. "Our focus is on long-term relationships and fresh options. Geo fabric planters aren't just pots, they supercharge roots for sustainable, profitable growing," Jinay wraps up.
