Heads of various divisions Dr Jagdev Sharma, Dr Sanjeev Sharma, Dr Alok Kumar, Dr Tanuja Buckseth, Dr Dharmendra Kumar, Dr Hemant and Mr Rajat Sethi made detailed presentations covering crucial areas such as crop improvement, plant protection, seed technology, Post harvest Technologies, social sciences and CPRI Administration. The scientists elaborated on ongoing research projects, technological interventions, and the dissemination of innovations to farmers across different agro-climatic zones of the country.

The IAS probationers actively participated in the discussions, raising queries on policy implementation, technology adoption, and the challenges faced in bridging the gap between research and field application. The interactive nature of the session enabled a meaningful exchange of ideas between the trainees and scientists. As part of the visit, the probationers visited aeroponics laboratories and research facilities within the institute. They observed firsthand the scientific processes involved in seed production, disease diagnostics, and extension activities. The exposure provided them with practical insights into how research innovations are translated into tangible benefit for farmers and other stakeholders.
