The rental smart farm project is designed to support young farmers entering smart agriculture. Participants are selected from those who have completed Bonghwa County's rental smart farm start-up program and the Gyeongbuk Smart Farm Youth Start-up Incubation Center training. Selected farmers can lease two smart greenhouses, covering a total area of 3.6 hectares, for a period of three years.
The facility is equipped with systems for integrated environmental control, nutrient solution supply, and energy-based heating and cooling. During the lease period, the county plans to provide on-site support programs, including field visits to advanced facilities and expert consulting, to assist participating farmers in farm management.
County officials stated that the project aims to reduce the financial burden associated with initial investment in smart farming and to support the settlement and income stability of young farmers in the region.
