Dutch passion fruits grown under glass have found their way into beer, resulting in a fruity IPA called Passie uit 't Kassie (Passion from the Greenhouse). This IPA is packed with passion fruit that may not meet the supermarket's cosmetic standards, yet is still perfectly flavorful. By using these fruits in brewing, they are given a valuable new purpose, an important step toward reducing food waste, according to InnoGrowers Cooperative and Jelster Brewery. The two partners joined forces to create this beer.
