During the three days of Fruit Attraction, producers, distributors, and professionals from the retail sector have had a chance to discover first-hand some of Sakata Seed Ibérica's most outstanding varieties and, especially, its great launch of the year: Japi, a gourmet tomato that "knows how to make you happy."

The official presentation of Japi was one of the most eagerly anticipated moments of the fair for Sakata. During the central day, the renowned Torres brothers chefs were in charge of the Japi launch event, which included a tomato tasting for the attendees.
With its thin skin, juicy flesh, and characteristic crunch, Japi surprised attendees with its strong umami flavor, as its green heart is rich in glutamic acid.

"Japi is not just a tomato, but a unique sensory experience. We want to revolutionize the market by offering a product that meets consumer demands in terms of flavor," says Francisco Morales, manager of Sakata Seed Ibérica.
In addition to Japi, Sakata has also showcased all the new varieties of broccoli, melon, butternut squash, pepper, onion, cucumber, and zucchini, as well as the new Saiko Star, a red baby plum tomato that stands out for its productivity, constant quality, shelf life, and flavor.
