The Sera Organized Industrial Zone in Zonguldak hosted the first tomato harvest. The tomato greenhouse is owned by Zekai Kamitoglu, the Chairman of the Trade and Commerce Board. and has been classified as the Agriculture-Based Greenhouse Specialized Organized Industrial Zone in the Caycuma district of Zonguldak.
The greenhouse hosted the region's maiden harvest. The tomato harvest was attended by a sizable crowd, including Zonguldak Governor Osman Hacibektasoglu, mayors, senators, and a host of other officials, department heads, and representatives of political parties and civil society organizations.
Members of parliament, Governor Osman Hacibektasoglu, and a group gathered tomatoes in a greenhouse and inspected the area during the first-ever harvest. After entering the greenhouse, participants watched the tomatoes being grown and learned about hydroponic farming techniques. In the meantime, the Caycuma Agricultural Organized Industrial Zone anticipates harvesting about 700 tons of tomatoes this year from greenhouses.
Additionally, Agricultural Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in the Caycuma Organized Agricultural Zone (Agricultural Organized Industrial Zone) also signed a partnership protocol with the greenhouse for cooperation.
