Saudi Arabia: Second greenhouse training management program launched

The National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah), in collaboration with NEOM Food Company Topian, has launched the second edition of its greenhouse management training program, building on the success of its inaugural run.

The programme is designed to enhance the capabilities of national cadres by equipping them with the latest scientific approaches and hands-on skills in greenhouse operations. Participants will receive training in smart irrigation systems, crop monitoring technologies, and energy-efficient solutions, enabling them to address sector challenges such as water scarcity, soil health, and biodiversity conservation.

Under the supervision of leading experts, trainees will gain practical experience in managing climate-controlled greenhouses. This approach seeks to localise advanced agricultural technologies, strengthen food security, and promote sustainable production practices.

Estidamah highlighted that the initiative forms part of its commitment to agricultural innovation and sustainability, in line with the National Agriculture Strategy. The program also supports the preservation of natural resources while improving production efficiency.
