The Inspire strawberry from The Greenery has received the highest recognition at the 2025 Superior Taste Awards, earning a three-star rating. According to the jury, this places the strawberry among the best in its category. The award is based on blind tastings conducted by 250 chefs and sommeliers from the International Taste Institute in Brussels.
The Inspire strawberry was assessed on first impression, flavour, texture, and aroma. Achieving an overall score between 90 and 100%, the variety was awarded the maximum distinction of three stars. The jury described it as an exceptional product: "Top quality that's well worth discovering."

The award also recognises the dedication of the growers who ensure consistent quality. Klaas de Jager, agronomist at The Greenery, explains: "The Inspire strawberry is grown exclusively in greenhouses, which guarantees consistent quality and high Brix levels. This gives the variety outstanding flavour, visual appeal, colour, and shelf life. Its robust nature makes it suitable for robotic harvesting and future-proof cultivation. Additionally, growers benefit from an efficient, peak-free harvest schedule that increases labour efficiency by up to 15% and improves operational continuity."
Van Dijk adds: "The acreage for Inspire is expanding rapidly. In 2025, the cultivated area will double, thanks to expansion by cooperative members and new entrants through the Inspire platform.
