Logistics service provider Oliver Schuldes from Palomo Solutions Ltd:

"We will strive to serve the North African region even more"

In the shadow of the leading cultivation and export countries Morocco and Egypt, other North African countries such as Tunisia, Mauritania and Senegal also recorded strong growth in agricultural exports. Accordingly, the demand for reliable freight forwarders and logistics service providers to transport the fruit and vegetables produced there to the respective European sales countries is increasing. "We are clearly noticing the increasing shipment volumes here and will strive to serve the North African region even better," explains Oliver Schuldes, CEO of Palomo Solutions Ltd.

Flexibility and innovation
The company, based in Limeshain (Hesse), was founded by Schuldes in 2017 and sees itself purely as a fresh produce logistics provider for fruit and vegetable transport. "However, my professional connection to fruit and vegetable logistics began back in 2000, so we have extensive and far-reaching knowledge and the corresponding sustainable contacts that I have built up over the last quarter of a century." Flexibility and innovation are high on the agenda, says Schuldes. "For example, we were able to combine existing customers with new enquiries and thus create cross-continental offers and take over their transport."

Round-the-clock support for fresh produce transport
Palomo Solutions' catchment area includes the national cultivation areas in Germany, neighbouring countries such as Belgium, the Netherlands and Poland, parts of Central, Eastern and Southern Europe as well as North Africa. The young logistics company's customer base is primarily made up of all relevant fruit agencies and food retail customers. Schuldes: "Our biggest customers include suppliers to the leading food retail chains. Our customers particularly appreciate the fact that our tracking team continuously monitors the transport (24/7) and is always able to provide proactive status reports and avert imponderables as they arise."

Developing joint, sustainable solutions
Even though the global logistics sector is under pressure due to the shortage of drivers and the increase in tolls, among other things, Schuldes is quite positive about the future of fruit logistics overall. "We work closely with our transport partners and develop joint solutions that are acceptable to everyone. Our guiding principle is the quality of transport and customer satisfaction," concludes Schuldes.
