Bell pepper growers Ivo and Ron Jansen from Andijk have purchased the neighboring bell pepper nursery from Carlo Zwinkels, expanding the acreage of Jansen Paprika from 25 to 45 hectares. With this strategic acquisition, the entrepreneurs are taking a significant step towards future-proofing their business. The purchase also fits in the plans and growth ambitions of PapriCo, the block bell pepper brand of the Growers United cooperative.
Since 1965, Jansen Paprika has focused on growing bell peppers, as one of the first bell pepper companies in the Netherlands. Started in Westland and since 2007 located in Andijk, North Holland. With the acquisition of the Carlo Zwinkels, Jansen Paprika will soon consist of three establishments totaling 45 hectares, run by brothers Ron and Ivo Jansen. With a focus on efficiency and sustainability, the family business produces bell peppers daily.

Packaging around the corner
Together with a number of fellow bell pepper growers, Jansen Paprika forms PapriCo, the block bell pepper brand of the Growers United cooperative. A group that cultivates over 35 million kilos of bell peppers annually on modern cultivation sites. The processing and packaging of these block bell peppers are done immediately after harvest in the automated packaging center around the corner, in Zwaagdijk, North Holland.
