Andrew Tout has been elected as the new Chairman of the Protected Cropping Australia (PCA). Andrew, formerly a casual Director, steps into this leadership role with a commitment to innovation and growth.
In a statement, Andrew expressed gratitude to the outgoing Chair, Matthew Plunket, acknowledging their impactful leadership. He stated, "I am honored to build upon the strong foundation laid by Matt, my fellow directors, our current EO Julie Krieger, and her team, and I am eager to lead the PCA into a future of continued success."
Andrew extended thanks to departing directors Emily Rigby, Tony Bundock, and the recent Ex-Chair for their contributions, recognizing their integral roles in the organization's achievements alongside many other contributors over the years.
Welcoming new directors Melanie Power, Jack Mooney, and Louise Austin, Andrew expressed enthusiasm about the diverse perspectives they bring to the team [and] is especially excited about bringing two growers to the board, "a very positive step for the organization."
