May Chang elected as new Vineland Board Chair

May Chang has been elected as the Vineland Research and Innovation's Board Chair for a two-year term.

Ms. Chang joined the board in 2020 and served as the Vice Chair since 2021. She succeeds Karen Belaire, who served as the Board Chair since 2020. Ms. Belaire will remain a member of the Board and serve as Past Chair.

Ms. Chang has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare sector in a variety of executive leadership roles with large community hospitals and major multi-site hospitals. She is currently the Principal of May Chang Consulting, offering executive leadership strategies.

"I'm excited to take on this new leadership role on the Board of Directors. Vineland's work is critical in advancing Canada's horticultural sector," said Chang. "I look forward to supporting the various research, innovation, and commercialization activities happening at Vineland in my role as the incoming Board Chair. I would like to acknowledge and thank Karen for her leadership over the past few years. Her leadership contributions, and that of the Board, have played a vital role in the organization's continued success."

The Board also welcomed Tony DiGiovanni as Vice Chair and Rico (Rick) Mastronardi as a new Director.

Vineland acknowledges and appreciates the commitment and advice of our outgoing Chair, Karen Belaire, and Director, Dieter Jentsch.
