The Deputy Chief Minister reached Tikli village in Gurugram on Friday to inspect the OG Roots Hydroponics Farm of a progressive farmer. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the farmer brothers of Haryana have played an important role in making the country self-sufficient in food security. He said that today, the needs of agriculture have changed along with time. Traditional farming is not giving benefit to the existing agricultural farmer, but it is definitely harming the natural resources.
There is an urgent need for change to improve this. In such a situation, a polyhouse and hydroponics house is a better option. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the government is giving a subsidy of 50 percent on the structure and 35 percent on the total cost of setting up a hydroponics farm for setting up a polyhouse for horticulture.
Apart from this, a 35 percent subsidy is being given for basic facilities like cold storage to store their produce. On this occasion, the SDM of Badshahpur Satish Yadav, District Horticulture Officer Rajendra Singh Lathar, DHC Mangeram Godara, and other officers of the District Horticulture Department were present.
