The greenhouse business in Ukraine will recover after the war

Ukraine is known for its greenhouse farms, but due to the war, over 35% of such farms have stopped working. This has been a real disaster for the industry, as now, part of the population does not have access to fresh vegetables and fruits, and many farmers have been left without work and income.

The government of Ukraine and farmers are trying to revive the greenhouse industry. One way is to develop new technologies that will increase production and reduce electricity costs. It is also important to support the state, which provides farmers with benefits and helps them obtain loans for business development.

Despite all efforts, the greenhouse industry is still in a difficult situation. Many farmers do not have enough money to develop their businesses, and some are forced to sell their farms. Therefore, it is important for the state to provide assistance and support to those who want to work in this industry.

Analyst of the UKAB Maxim Gopka believes that the greenhouse direction will be more developed after Ukraine's victory. Greenhouse vegetables gradually become an integral part of the diet of most Ukrainians. Greenhouse owners have advantages not only due to seasonal demand but also due to crop yields, which significantly exceed the yields of crops grown in open ground. Also, the profitability of a greenhouse farm, in which organic vegetables are grown all year round, is much higher than that of a regular greenhouse.
