Review of the opening with Queen Máxima and over 100 photos

5 years of World Horti Center

On March 7, 2018, Queen Máxima opened the World Horti Center in Naaldwijk. A good reason for 'the clubhouse' of horticulture to reflect on this anniversary with a number of facts and figures. A jubilee program for participants and visitors will also follow from now on, as well as a special anniversary logo.

Construction of the World Horti Center began in 2016. This was followed by the opening two years later, and another year later, the All Climate Greenhouse was opened at the World Horti Center. A final construction highlight was the opening of the I-Grow pavilion, and the exhibition floor layout is also undergoing further development.

Over the past five years, despite Covid, 150,000 visitors were received from 165 countries.

There were not that many people at the opening five years ago, but it was certainly busy. The photo reportage with over 100 photos of the opening can be seen here.
