CleanGreens Solutions and Green Life celebrate launch of first aeroponic project in the Middle East

Aeroponic greenhouse inaugurated in Kuwait

On February 1st, CleanGreens Solutions and GreenLife officially inaugurated their first aeroponic project in the Middle East. The event was held at the St. Regis Hotel, under the patronage of the Swiss ambassador Dr. Tiziano Balmelli, and was attended by a diverse group of stakeholders, experts, and media members.

Adel Al Shamali, Chairman of Green Life Company, praised the project and spoke about the company's commitment to investing in the future. He highlighted the importance of agriculture in achieving the two key goals outlined in the Kuwait 2035 vision – ensuring food security and diversifying income sources. He expressed his thoughts on the project, stating, "The launch of this project is a testament to Green Life Company's commitment to investing in the future. As local investors, we are always looking for opportunities to drive progress within our society."

Reception with VIP guests

Bruno Cheval, CEO of CleanGreens Solutions SA, emphasized the importance of this project. "Status quo is not an option," he said. "Traditional agriculture is failing to produce enough food for everybody, and this project is merely a first step in the future collaboration in the GCC region."

After the reception, guests visited the farm in Abdali, where they were given a tour by the agronomists of Green Life. "The aeroponic irrigation robot is a breakthrough, it facilitates our life as we know that the plants get what they need whenever they need it. We don't have to worry about the water temperature and the oxygenation of the plant," said an agronomist.

David Potter, a lettuce industry expert and CleanGreens advisor, was also in attendance and praised the quality of the produce grown in the aeroponic system. "This leaf quality on this butterhead is better than anything else I'd seen in terms of CEA growing, considering the environment we're in, this is incredible."

GreenLife will produce a variety of lettuces, such as Lollos, Butterheads, and Baby Gems, as well as aromatic herbs, for the local market. CleanGreens Solutions will provide its GREENOVA aeroponic system in combination with the GURU Crop Management System, delivering leafy greens projects in Europe and the Middle East.
