500,000 square meters of screen en route to Wittenberg Gemüse

Last week a special convoy with about 500.000 square meters of screen cloth left the Ridder production in Maasdijk (NL) towards the impressive new construction and renovation project of Wittenberg Gemüse GmbH (DE).

No less than five trucks were loaded with different types of screen cloth that will eventually be installed by the installers of Ridder partner Luiten Greenhouses in the greenhouses in Germany.

The convoy carried screen cloths to replace the cloths in more than 15 hectares of existing greenhouse. In addition, the trucks have also brought screen cloths for a double screen installation in a newly built greenhouse of about 9 hectares. This greenhouse is intended for the expansion of Wittenberg Gemüse’s acreage with greenhouse strawberry cultivation.

“German consumers have also discovered the quality of the strawberries grown in a greenhouse. With our new greenhouses and double screen installations, we will soon be able to meet the demand for high-quality and sustainably produced strawberries in Germany even better,” said the horticultural entrepreneurs.
