EIT Food partner ART21 announces over EUR 1 million of high-tech services to help rebuild Ukraine’s agrifood sector

ART21, a partner of EIT Food, the world’s largest and most dynamic food innovation community, has announced a number of measures to help the people of Ukraine during and after the war. EIT Food is supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union.

ART21 has confirmed it will implement a package of high-tech solutions worth over EUR 1 million to help Ukraine rebuild and modernize its infrastructure and economy when the war ends. By modernizing infrastructure facilities such as ports and major food warehouses free of charge, ART21 will contribute to the revitalization of Ukraine’s agri-food supply chains.

The Lithuanian innovation company will provide Ukraine with licenses for the critical software AgroSmart, a crop farm process management software designed to improve efficiency and productivity and reduce farmer costs. It will also implement high-tech solutions for precision agriculture and food safety chain authentication.

The support provided by ART21 will have a significant impact as agriculture is a critical part of the Ukrainian economy, with 70% of the country used for agricultural purposes (1).
