Benzoic acid is found in small amounts in berries and contributes to the elimination of dangerous pathogens. In the fight against plant diseases, Menno Chemie has been developing innovative products with benzoic acid for 40 years now. Recently, the German company successfully launched its new disinfectant A-QUASAN in Spain for all areas of fresh produce processing, such as food processing and production plants, storage and cold storage facilities, and greenhouse facilities, as well as for the disinfection of drinking water systems.
A-QUASAN is a highly efficient disinfectant because it is very effective against a wide range of pathogens, even at low levels. "Due to the high biodegradability of benzoic acid, the agent also leaves no relevant residues. Despite the small amounts of benzoic acid in our product, its performance remains extremely stable for up to 16 hours, which is ultimately crucial when combating pathogens such as lysteria," says Christian Eidam, the company's sales manager.
