Roei Yaakobi - TieUp Farming

"Our growers are highly data-driven and keen for granular detail about their farm operations"

Keeping accurate chemical and fertilizer inventory records has never been an easy task. Tie Up Farming has listened to the concerns of farmers and introduced a new Inventory Management module to its cloud-based farm management software.

Linking the new Inventory module to the Spray Dairy not only locates stocks of products across multiple locations but automatically reduces your product list as sprays are completed.

Roei Yaakobi, CEO of TieUp Farming, says the new module adds functionality to the existing spray diary to plan, calculate, instruct, and record spray applications, bringing greater efficiencies to the spray regime.

The Inventory module is another step in the direction farmers want from their farm management software. "Our growers are highly data-driven and keen for granular detail about their farm operations. We're there to support them when there's a business need," says Yaakobi.

When the Australian government changed how piece rate workers are paid, Tie Up Farming was quick to update its software to help growers meet their legal obligations and ensure workers are paid correctly.

"This would be a massive headache for growers who can no longer just simply pay the piece rate. They want to keep the incentive of piece rate payments to attract the best workers but also ensure they're meeting the minimum hourly rate. It must be calculated every day, and, at TieUp Farming, we have the data to help farmers do this," said Roei Yaakobi from the company.

"We already capture piece rate data from harvest management and time worked from payroll, so it's just a matter of making the calculation and providing a detailed report in order to meet the other obligations under the new Award."

TieUp Farming will be presenting its software management solution with the new Inventory Management Module at Hort Connections in Brisbane next month.

"We have had a couple of growers working with the new module, and now it is ready for release. We have also incorporated a Labour Management module which includes visa and vaccine information on the workers."

TieUp Farming brings together all the on-farm information critical for export contracts and compliance, as well as discovering where cost savings can be found within an agribusiness.

TieUp Farming will be at booth 254 next to the Hort Innovation booth.
