HS Evolution Pot increases strawberry cultivation in customised substrate

Hydroponic Systems launches the HS Evolution Pot, the new solution for growing strawberries in pots with customized substrate and on an elevated metal gutter.

It is a system with special advantages that favor the care of the environment and savings for growers. By allowing the use of customized substrate inside the pot, it does not require plastic bags to contain it, thus avoiding the use of this type of plastic and the costs associated with its acquisition and removal.

The economic savings go even further, as the HS Evolution Pot is designed to last for several growing cycles. It only requires simple and easy cleaning and disinfection tasks between one. Economic profitability is also increased as the narrow gutter allows for more rows to be placed or a zig-zag arrangement of the plants inside the pot to make more efficient use of the growing area. In addition, growers can choose the substrate they want to grow strawberries in.

These particular advantages of the HS Evolution Pot are in addition to those of Hydroponic Systems' portfolio of solutions:

  • Extra aeration and optimum oxygenation for the roots
  • No waterlogging
  • Prevents contact between roots and drains
  • Can be adapted to hanging or elevated supports in greenhouses
  • The answer to a question

In 2014, Hydroponic Systems was born to respond to growers' need to improve their work and solve some of their major headaches, such as root diseases that rot plants and infect others. To avoid this, the company devised a catalog of solutions that have been exported to almost forty countries with great success.

In fact, independent research led by Ceickor Centro Universitario (Mexico) shows that these systems can increase overall greenhouse production by between 3% and 5%.
