Agrichem Bio will take part as a speaker at the World Tomato Congress 2022

The World Tomato Congress will be held at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos de Campohermoso, in the Spanish municipality of Níjar, in the province of Almeria, on April 26th, 27th and 28th.

The World Tomato Congress is a global congress for professionals and technicians devoted to tomato production. During the conference, world-class experts will present their knowledge, the latest developments with the crop, as well as their prospects for the future in key areas, such as varietal selection, genetics or the harvesting process.

Agrichem Bio will actively participate in this event with the presentation of Dr. Natalia Muñoz Fambuena, agronomist engineer, expert in plant physiology and biotechnology and Crop Technology Coordinator of Idai Nature. The topic of the presentation, scheduled to take place from 12:00 to 13:00 on Thursday, April 28, will be "Yeast as a novel biological control agent; the special case of Saccharomyces cerevisiae LAS02 for the prevention of Botrytis in tomato".

At the end of the session, both attendees and speakers will have the chance to participate in a round table, where they will be able to ask any questions they deem appropriate in order to facilitate the exchange of knowledge.

Participation in the World Tomato Congress is free for attendees, although places are limited and will be filled in strict order of registration.

During the three days of the event, different topics related to this crop will be discussed:

  • Session 1 / Tuesday, April 26 / "Varietal and genetic selection"
  • Session 2 / Wednesday, April 27 / "Plant nutrition and fertigation"
  • Session 3 / Thursday, April 28 / "Pests and diseases"
