This week the Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers (OGVG) learned that effective June 30, the City of Windsor will no longer lead the Isolation and Recovery Centre for Temporary Foreign Workers. OGVG would like to thank the City of Windsor for stepping up to lead this service at a time when it was needed most.
Ontario’s greenhouse farmers are committed to joining county leaders and other partners in the food and agricultural industry to ensure that a safe plan is in place for the transition /evolution of the isolation and recovery centre(IRC). Prioritizing the health and well-being of agricultural workers is essential but ultimately, it will take more than just OGVG to land on an appropriate solution.
