Italy's Bagioni Technology latest proposal

In 2022 courgette harvesting machines can also be rented

Fixed and depreciation costs are constantly increasing. Therefore, investments aren't always possible during this period. Not to mention that after having grown a certain crop, many companies have to switch to another one, the following year. This is why the Italian company Bagioni Technology has decided to offer a rental option for courgette harvesting machines as well.

"The rental concept is quite new for this type of machine. Yet, as of today, it is possible to monitor the machines at any time, thanks to advanced technology. That's why the rental will be charged at an hourly rate, according to the actual use of the machine. We are thinking of €3 per hour. Then the grower can also decide to purchase the machine or not. The money paid for the renting will then be deducted from the total purchase price," said Aurenzo Bagioni.

Bagioni is launching the proposal for both Italy and abroad. Transport costs are added to the price.

In terms of raw materials, Bagioni said that iron, steel and components sourced from Europe have no major problems in terms of delivery times. "When ordering materials from Asia, it can be difficult to have an estimate about the exact delivery time - provided that things actually get delivered. For this reason, I decided to change suppliers and mainly looked at Europe. It is a little more expensive than in China, but you can be sure of the delivery times."

Currently, Bagioni is experiencing supply problems with lithium batteries from the United States. "Fortunately, we were able to build up some stocks before then. As long as we have material, we will process orders. And after that, we'll see from day to day what we can do," he concluded.
