Agriculture Minister claims prices of agricultural products will remain stable in Morocco

Morocco’s Ministry of Agriculture said that prices of Moroccan agricultural products prices are expected to stay stable. The ministry explained that prices of domestically produced food products have remained stable or low compared to the same period last year.

As for fruits and vegetables, “wholesale prices remained low compared to the previous season, while legume prices remained stable, with the exception of lentils, due to fluctuations in the global market,” explained the ministry.

“National markets in all the regions of the Kingdom have a sufficient availability of food products to meet consumption needs,” it noted. The ministry further highlighted that “the 2020-2021 agricultural campaign was a success in terms of food production, and food products would be sufficiently abundant in terms of nationally produced food in order to meet consumer needs.”
