The end of the traditional greenhouse cultivation season is approaching. This means that the crop rotation is back in the picture, and stone wool slabs are being removed en masse by growers for recycling. Large waste processing companies have a lot of work to do. At Renewi in Wateringen, 120,000 m3 of stone wool slabs are expected to be processed into bricks over a period of eight weeks, Glastuinbouw Nederland reports in an item (NL) about the processing procedure.
