If you drive on the Burgemeester Elsenweg near Naaldwijk in the Netherlands, you will see an imposing villa along the water. It is the office villa of the breeding company Axia Vegetable Seeds. The Dutch news portal WOS paid a visit.
Construction began at the end of last year. The building is a nod to the history of greenhouse horticulture, as managing director and founder Sandor van Vliet had told earlier to GroentenNieuws. "In the days of greenhouses with flat glass, reeds were used to cover the greenhouses against summer heat and winter cold. That's why we thought it would be fun to cover the office with reeds."
This is the WOS piece, in which director Alois van Vliet gives the visitor a short tour.
