AgriPlace, an international platform for managing a safe and sustainable supply chain, now also automatically retrieves information for users from their laboratories. In addition to information such as supplier agreements and certificates, lab analyses are now collected and checked. The connection with laboratory Groen Agro Control is now live - Eurofins and other national and international labs will follow.
Growing challenge
Fresh produce businesses receive lab analyses in large quantities, both their own analyses from various labs and from suppliers. These results are often collected manually and kept in folders and Excel, which makes it difficult to quickly assess the risks of a supplier or product. In addition, customer requirements are becoming increasingly complex and can be quite diverse.

Hélène van den Dries, Product Manager at AgriPlace, talks about the new development: "The Lab Analysis module automates the collection of results from laboratories and suppliers, which means less manual work and clear results. The PDF report and corresponding results are automatically retrieved, organized and stored within the private connection with the lab based on product, variety, supplier and/or grower.
The right product to the right customer
Quality requirements of supermarkets, standard holders and institutions are becoming increasingly complex, stringent and varied. The information needed to meet the various combinations of customer requirements is often fragmented and access to it not always easy. With the Lab Analysis module, a new piece of the puzzle is complete, and the checking of customer requirements regarding analyses and certificates is automated within one platform.
Reducing risk and costs
Assessing risk by product and supplier can be difficult if you don't have the right information at hand. Results are often in a PDF, making it difficult to analyse the aggregated data. According to product manager Hélène van den Dries, questions such as 'which growers have the highest risk? How many MRL violations were there last year for that product from South Africa? And where did we previously find the active ingredient that is now on the blacklist?’ are easily analysed and answered with the new module. This contributes to more efficient planning of lab analyses and better assessment of risk per supplier and product
