The pepper harvest season is in full swing. After the last harvest round at the end of October, the crop rotation follows. The meters high pepper plants are cut down and cleared to make way for new cultivation. It may seem far away now. But the crop rotation is usually a busy, hectic period and takes a lot of time. Prepare it well by using machines that make the process easy and smooth. Such as Buitendijk Slaman's Scrapman, a crop rotation trolley that cuts through wires and plants quickly and efficiently.
Scrapman crop rotation trolley for labor- and time-saving
The Scrapman crop rotation trolley is a V-shaped electric pipe rail trolley (available from c.t.c. 500 mm) with upright side walls and in-house developed saw shears. It drives backward into the row. The hedge trimmers at the top of the trolley cut the wires and any plants and these then fall between the pipe rail. This is done very quickly: the SCRAPMAN cuts the crop on short notice. This enables the grower to make an enormous improvement in efficiency. The plant remains to fall onto the cloths, which allow them to be quickly disposed of, shredded, and composted. Due to the large plastic wheels and a heavy 230VAC motor, the electric cart drives back over the crop without any problems. The scrap trolley is suitable for traditional and/or V-system with or without hanging gutters. The video below demonstrates the method:
After the major cleaning, there is room for new plants that grow in the winter. The production of peppers starts again in March.
In short, cutting the pepper crop down can be done very easily and smoothly without having to struggle. Improve your working conditions and save a lot of time with the help of the Scrapman. It is labor and time saving: clear your entire company in a shorter time, it is labor-friendly and efficient working: the hard work is done for you, and it is widely applicable: to be used with hanging or standing gutters, traditional or V-system, for pipe rail system 500 mm or wider
Buitendijk Slaman produces the machines in-house and continuously works on product optimization. The recently improved Scrapman will be produced in batch and can be ordered from now on. The bell pepper crop rotation still seems a long way off, but with the current material supply, timely ordering is desirable.
