European Conference on Research & Innovation in the fruit and vegetable sector

AREFLH is organizing the international workshop: the “European Conference on Research & Innovation in the fruit and vegetable sector” that will take place online on Thursday 24 June 2021 from 2:30 to 5:00 (Paris time). This workshop is organized in the framework of the NUTRIMAN project, a thematic Nitrogen, and Phosphorus program that collects knowledge about the products, technologies, applications, and practices of recovered biological fertilizers, funded within the Horizon 2020 program.

Speakers have confirmed their participation, such as Natalia Brzezina from the research and innovation unit of DG AGRI, Riccardo Valentini, a Forest Ecology and Peace Nobel Prize winner, and Davide Viaggi, an Agricultural and Food Sciences professor.

The workshop will serve as a forum for the exchange of insights, ideas, and good practices concerning the use of new bio-fertilizers in agriculture and the presentation of the NUTRIMAN online farmers' platform.

Sessions and topics
The workshop will consist of two specific sessions: one dedicated to the Farm to Fork and Horizon Europe and secondly, a plenary session focusing on the importance of research for smart and sustainable growth in agriculture. This second part will target several R&I projects concerning NUTRIMAN bio-fertilizers, new contractual solutions, and lastly carbon sequestration.

Translation to four languages for a large accessibility
The workshop is free of charge and will be in English, French, Italian, and Spanish. It is organized in the framework of the  AREFLH General Assembly. The registration link and program details can be read in English or in French.
