Four Bull 4 electric tractors have recently started driving n the greenhouse at vine tomato grower Mont Royal in Waddinxveen. The grower is thus investing in internal transport.
Floris van den Berg, co-owner of the family business, which grows coarse vine tomatoes: “We chose this tractor because we have a lot of experience with Bull. The investment is very reasonable and when you trade in the tractor after 6 to 7 years, you get a good offer for a new one. Furthermore, the tractor is not sensitive to malfunctions, so we practically never come to a stand still.”
The blue Bull 4 electric tractors from Steenks Service have long been indispensable machines for many vegetable growers, the producer notes. Besides the use of these tow tractors by vegetable growers, they are also common in flower auctions, airports and in healthcare.
Mont Royal is also satisfied with the aftersales: “Steenks Service always resolves equipment malfunctions quickly and properly, so that we never have to stand still for long.
According to Sander Zuidgeest, co-owner of Steenks Service, transporting vegetables in a greenhouse is easier than ever thanks to the pulling power of 4,000 kg, but also thanks to its strong battery. “The Bull 4 has a powerful 24 Volt traction battery, which means that a large amount of weight can be towed from a standstill. This electric tractor also has a small turning circle. This makes this machine attractive for internal transport in many different sectors. "
