Climate screen made from recycled materials

Covering your greenhouse with PET bottles? It might not sound like a solution for a better climate, but it is. At least, if you're talking about the Luxous 1147 Eco FR. This new climate screen introduced by Svensson is made of recycled material. "The film contains 30% recycled polyester made from PET bottles and offers all the benefits growers need," the Svensson team reveals.

Heat retention and light transmission
"This new member of the Luxous family has the same excellent light transmission and highly effective energy-saving capabilities as Luxous 1147 FR," the Svensson team shares. "Combining good heat retention with maximum light transmission, it stabilizes temperatures while minimizing dew and risk of fungal diseases."

Luxous 1147 Eco FR is made of flame retardant materials only. "And it meets the highest safety industry standards. All this makes Luxous 1147 Eco FR a sustainable solution and the conscious choice for next-generation growing and growers," they add.

Secure further sustainable raw materials
With each successive step in product development, the Svensson team looked even more closely at what their customers need to achieve the most sustainable business possible.

"Our long-term ambitions are to secure further sustainable raw materials and increase resource efficiency to lower our climate impact throughout the value chain. That also includes creating products with a long product life, improved climate-positive effects and circular solutions."

Sustainable horticultural industry
"We know success doesn’t happen overnight, neither does change. But we firmly believe that working closely together is key to create sustainable solutions, positive social responsibility, and environmental protection," they add. "With Luxous 1147 Eco FR, Svensson takes the next step towards contributing to a more sustainable horticultural industry, ready for future generations. Consciously growing together."
