First strawberry crops in biggest greenhouse in Orenburg region

The Ministry of Agriculture of Orenburg region reports that the new greenhouse berry complex SDO-Logistic in Tashla village of Tashlinsky region have started harvesting the first strawberry crops. The seedlings were planted 1.5 months ago but already now the berries are ripe. In the coming days, the first batch of juicy produce should arrive in the markets of Orenburg region.

The greenhouse complex has only started developing. It has made into a list of priority projects of Orenburg region. In addition to strawberries, the growers are planning to grow blueberries, blackberries and black currants. The overall amount of investments is evaluated at the level of 7.7 million euro. By the end of the construction works, the complex would include 385 greenhouses and the overall annual production volume should reach 1200 tons.
