The 2021 North American Raspberry & Blackberry Conference will be held virtually on February 22-25, 2021. The conference features more than 25 hours of presentations and panel discussions, plus posters, informal forums, and lots of opportunity for networking. Caneberry breeding receives special attention with eleven breeders and geneticists from around the world presenting. A special seven-session short-course, “Getting Started in Raspberries & Blackberries” precedes the conference and started on February 1.
This conference is being held by the North American Raspberry & Blackberry Association (NARBA), a non-profit membership organization of growers, researchers, and others in the caneberry industry from more than 35 states and 6 countries. Its mission includes providing education and support to growers, promoting caneberries to the public, and supporting research (through its allied North American Bramble Growers Research Foundation. Its annual conference is usually a face-to-face event and moves around the country each year. Recent conferences were in St. Louis, MO; Savannah, GA; and Ventura, CA.
