What's growing in a greenhouse 4000 meters above sea level?

Bailang County, Xigaze City, Tibet, on the Nyang Qu River, has an average altitude of more than 4,000 meters and is a traditional agricultural and animal husbandry county. In the transformation of traditional agriculture to modern agriculture, the Zhufeng Modern Agricultural Technology Innovation Expo Park in Xigaze has formed a pastoral complex integrating S&T research, sales, comprehensive service management, and ecotourism. It has 8 high-efficiency glass greenhouses and 128 modern greenhouses planted with sweet sapphire grapes, Bailang watermelon, tomatoes, plumeria, and other fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

The Park has an annual output of more than 10 million kilos of green fruits and vegetables, and an output value of more than 50 million RMB [7.5 million USD]. It will promote the development of the local vegetable industry through the introduction and promotion of new varieties and new technologies. The park has achieved long-term employment for 150 local people, and the annual income per capita has increased by more than 50,000 RMB [7,500 USD].
