BioSafe Systems adds three team members

A new lab assistant to BioSafe Systems’ plant pathology team, Isabella Russo, will contribute skill, intellect and experienced support to the crop protection research and development projects. She’ll boost the company’s pathogen knowledge base when working in tandem with Head Plant Pathologist Director of Research and Development.

Bella comes from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and minored in Plant Pathology. She’s familiar with lab life, processing water and soil samples and evaluating product anti-microbial efficacy, and keeping thorough, detailed technical records of project data and results. She has worked in the Fungal Genomics laboratory as a technician, and in UMass Diagnostic Laboratory keeping keen eyes on nematodes, oomycete pathogens, Fusarium strains and many pathogens BioSafe Systems’ products combat in agribusiness. Extensive knowledge about pathogens’ growth and development phases helps the company learn how to treat them when they threaten healthy growing operations.

New Logistics Coordinator
Nashville, Tennessee, native, TK Fayne accepted her new role with BioSafe Systems as Logistics Coordinator based out of her home state. She’ll be directing prompt and proper shipments, ensuring accuracy in documentation, compliance with regulations, and remedying any missteps along the way with timely and appropriate execution.

With a bachelor’s degree in business marketing and an MBA focused on business management, TK brings a lot of experience and knowledge to our team. Before BioSafe Systems, she worked for KeepTruckin-OPL as an Executive Sales and Client Relationship Manager sharpening her skills in transportation and operational development. Her involvement with intermodal aspects of logistics including import/export via truck/trailer, rail, ocean and air makes her a valuable asset to BioSafe Systems as we continue to enhance the brand across the country and the continent.

BioSafe Systems strategically places its warehouses, manufacturing plants and distribution centers across the country to make deliveries more convenient for clients and decrease their carbon footprint. By not shipping and processing exclusively from the east coast headquarters, their national reach goes farther.

Irrigation Technician
Born and raised in California, John Tamayo connected with BioSafe Systems in September and is putting his education and skills to work as a new irrigation technician. The company eagerly anticipates growing John’s knowledge about the innovations in sustainable irrigation technology and are excited about his participation in advancing the BioSafe Systems mission.

John previously interned with the USDA at the University of California; the school is a leader in the development of agriculture protocol for organic farming practices. The USDA, United States Department of Agriculture, is the federal agency that directs programs and policies related to American farming, food quality and nutrition. Experience with this agency and this university offer an important understanding of the federal protocols across all segments of agribusiness. John helped set up and maintain science projects and irrigation research, honing skills he’ll put to use with BioSafe Systems.

John engaged in agriculture in a new way during his internship. Earning his degree at the University of Arizona, Yuma, John is majoring in Agriculture Systems Management. This program further equips John for his career, expanding knowledge of integration and application of agricultural, bio-systems engineering technology, biological sciences and business.
