British tomato conference 2020

The British Tomato Growers' Association Conference will, for the first time, be a live, online, interactive event. A high point of the UK Protected Crops calendar, this year’s conference presents a range of expert speakers discussing the significant challenges faced by growers and their evolving resolutions to ensure the sector emerges into our shared future in the best possible position to enable a vibrant, expanding and sustainable, high quality primary protected food production industry in the UK.

The conference will cover subjects as diverse as labour, marketing including market data from Kantar, policy, energy, research and innovation, and report on the latest international research and understanding of the important tomato virus ToBRFV.

The 2020 conference will close with the engaging and insightful Professor David Hughes, an international expert on the global food and drink industry, taking a wonderfully nuanced look at the present and future of the Protected crops sector in the UK and beyond.
