In a former nursery in Kladow, Rongrong Szydlewski has found what she has been looking for for years. Better said, she has designed the 1400 square metre greenhouse according to her ideas, so that she can enjoy her favourite vegetables even far from home.
Huge sponge cucumbers hang down from bushes, water spinach thrives in a basin and heaters provide the right climatic conditions. "To grow vegetables like we do here, you need two things above all: a lot of heat and plenty of light," says Ralf Szydlewski, Rongrong's husband, in an interview with the Berliner Kurier.

About a year ago, the two founded their start-up company "Fresh Tasia" and started growing Asian vegetable and herb specialities. For a long time, his wife in particular saw a lack of specific Asian vegetables in Germany, says Ralf. "And when there were some more exotic varieties, they were either not available all year round or of poor quality due to imports."
