Prioritizing customer safety, De Ruiter now offers virtual tours

Meeting and “events” look a little different these days, but while in-person glasshouse tours are on hold, that doesn’t mean the pause button gets hit on collaboration and innovations in the glasshouse industry, too. Now, more than ever it’s important to connect with all areas of the glasshouse industry. So, while the company cannot physically bring everyone together, De Ruiter has created an innovative approach to keep the lines of communication open with personalized virtual tours.

De Ruiter provides customers with a unique touring experience where they may specify exactly what they want to focus on during their tour. These customized virtual tours are similar to what customers would experience if they personally visited its innovative De Ruiter Experience Centre.

The De Ruiter Experience Centre, built in 2018, was the first ever state-of-the-art demonstration glasshouse where growers, consultants and others in the industry can see the latest innovations, experience and interact with the varieties in their growing environment and ask experts specific questions about both De Ruiter plants and their own.

The virtual De Ruiter Experience Centre tour is tailored to meet each individual or company’s needs. Customers work with their sales representative and discuss challenges they are having, varieties they are interested in, and what new technologies they would like to see and learn about. Virtual tours of the De Ruiter Experience Centre will then be created to provide a personalized experience that covers the information and demonstrations they want.

“Personalized virtual tours allow us to keep an open line of communication and continue to engage in innovative conversations with our customers,” says Jack Endhoven, Key Account Manager - Horticultural Projects. “Agriculture doesn’t stop, and innovation and collaboration can’t stop either. Given everyone’s travel limitations, it’s actually more important than ever.”

De Ruiter knows the value in what the De Ruiter Experience Centre offers for customers and industry experts and promises to continue to use innovation and collaboration to bring customers the information they need, safely.
