A remarkable collaboration was launched yesterday. The famous toy company launched a special Greenhouse Series, in collaboration with horticultural supplier Dramm. And there was more news that brightened up the day. A navigation system for bumblebees and gym stuff to be used in the greenhouse.
LEGO plants deserve healthy water
"Add to your LEGO Greenhouse and provide your LEGO plants with clean, healthy water with the newest set in the Greenhouse series, the Complete Water Treatment System (CWTS). The Complete Water Treatment Set features a variety of interactive items such as fillable backwashing media filters, a light-up ozone generator, rotating & moving parts, and many other realistic features for you to discover as you build", was the announcement of the new collection.
The CWTS comes with a baseplate to configure your water room, a corrugated, construct-in-place, lined water storage tank, a VFD Pump Skid including twin pumps, a 10 gram/hour ozone skid with contact tank, off-gas valve, ozone destruct and ambient ozone sensor, a multi-pass reverse osmosis system (for use if required), twin backflushing, deep media filters, a multi-head injection system, pressure sustaining valves, two minifigures (minifigure Al sold separately), a bike for getting around the greenhouse, gauges, fittings, valves and other miscellaneous parts. Kit also includes a complete assembly guide, downloadable digital files, your own DRAMMwater Project Manager and a site-visit from a DRAMMwater technician.
Add to your play by combining this set with other LEGO/Dramm creations such as the Dramm Triple Threat Pest Management System, the Dramm Drip Irrigation Experience, the Dramm AME AirMovement Kit and the Dramm Thermal Fogger Adventure Kit. Each LEGO/Dramm building set integrates well with kits from different greenhouse manufacturers.
Staying in, working out
The team with Dramm is not the only one helping growers to deal with uncommon times. Also the team with GGS Greenhouses has turned creative to support the grower. "As Covid-19 continues to spread, it is creating many unfamiliar challenges. As we are all doing our part to continue social distancing, many of us find ourselves stuck at home with no gym or exercise activities to maintain good health", they say.
Luckily, GGS is expanding their product lines to help with this new demand for indoor home gym equipment. "After weeks of development and adapting our current product, we are proud to introduce our new department at GGS that will focus on developing our “Greenhouse Gym Stuff” line."
The new products include:
GGS rack bar
Truss chin up bar
The multi-purpose Purlin
Lunge bench cart
Pipe Paint Weights
Russian bumblebee navigation
And there was more going on. These creative Russian growers for example have made a very nice routing for their bumblebees. "Bumblebee houses were set as comfortable as possible so that there was room for successful take-off and soft return (they have different “doors” for this, so that there are no traffic jams). It got to the point that even special signs hung up - where to fly. And they use it!"
"We take great pride in supporting our staff this way", the team with Vysokovo explains.
