Over the past few years, Ofgem has been stepping up the number of audits on Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) systems. In fact, all systems on the RHI scheme are expected to be audited at least twice over their 20 years on the scheme. The auditor usually starts by looking at the paperwork and record keeping, which is where they typically find the most non-compliances in our experience. Now is a perfect time to ensure you have all the required documentation available and that your records are being kept in line with Ofgem requirements.
Which is where NFU Energy can help: One of their experienced consultants will give you an initial call to discuss your installation and areas that may be a problem.
These can include:
- System configuration and compliance
- Record keeping for meters, fuels and heat use
- System changes and updates since the original application
- Issues with data submissions
- Identifying opportunities for improvements
NFU Energy will review all the documentation that you have and see the records you have been keeping. From there, they can provide advice and support to ensure that you have all the paperwork in place should Ofgem wish to audit you in the future.
They will talk you through any necessary changes and you will then receive a report letting you know what is being done well and what needs further work to maintain RHI compliance.
