Belgian start-up launches plant disease detection app

Knowing what disease the crop has and how to combat it within a second and a half - that is possible according to Belgian start-up Ask Attis, with a special application that the company will launch in June. At first for both hobby and professional tomato growers, but possibly also for other food crops in the future.

The app can be downloaded on a smart phone or tablet, after which photos can be taken and the app lets you know what is wrong in no time at all.

The first 100,000 growers who register receive the Ask Attis app completely for free for their entire life. Anyone who doesn’t make the cut must pay 9.99 euros per year for the app.

Read the interview with the start-up here at the Gazet van Antwerpen (in Dutch) or view the Ask Attis website here.
